10,000 Laughs is a team of comedians (and Bob) who are positively in love with the art form. We obsess about making the kind of comedy festival we'd want to be a part of.
The founder of 10,000 Laughs, he's been obsessed with stand up comedy since he was 12 years old. A former comedian, he's mostly known now as the booker for the Comedy Corner Underground and for talking entirely too loud. He has 3 kids, a wife, and a dog he loves very much.
Chloe Radcliffe is a Minneapolis-based comic recently named a TBS Comic To Watch at the New York Comedy Festival. In 2017, Chloe was a semifinalist in StandUp NBC and listed as one of the top five comics in the Twin Cities. She was a quarterfinalist in the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, and performed at the Women In Comedy and Oddblock festivals. This is her second year as a producer on 10,000 Laughs and somehow no one's noticed all the things she's fucking up.
Mohtasham Yaqub is a young and upcoming comedian from Minneapolis. He was a finalist in Acme, Sisyphus and House of Comedy's Funniest Person Contest. At just over a year in comedy, he's the newest comic ever helping with the fest.
Ryan Kahl is a stand-up comedian based out of Minneapolis. He is a cofounder and coproducer of Clear Water Comedy, a comedy collective in his hometown of Eau Claire, WI. He also coproduces Standup Sundays at Fair State Brewing Cooperative; a comedy showcase in Minneapolis. Ryan is our Venue Coordiantor, so if for some reason we miss something in your rider about only green M&Ms, he's the one to blame. What he lacks in stature he makes up for in crippling self-doubt.
Shelly Paul was born and raised in Minnesota, and started doing stand-up in Minneapolis. On average she spends 12-40 minutes every day sitting in her car. Not driving- just sitting there. She head's up our social media and all design (including the fancy-smancy website you're on right now), and is also in charge of telling Bob that no, that's actually a really bad idea.
Shawn Nafstad is the illustrator for the 2018 festival. He's the one in charge of Rubber Hosing everyone on the festival. We've been told by our legal team that we need to clarify Rubber Hosing is a style of drawing and he will not be hitting performers with rubber hoses.
