how do you review tapes?

Our panel of people with strong options and questionable taste watch each submission up to 5 minutes. We really recommend a tight five kinda tape.

can my improv group/ Joke-slinging-band submit?

We are a stand up festival pretty much exclusively. Improv is a no go. We don’t handle any pre-show logistics making your stuff louder, so if you are a music act you gotta be funny as shit and able to play without amplification.

What does the festival cover For accepted comics?

We try to be the best hosts we can, so we have nightly after parties with food and drinks for performers. We are running some daily bullshit events (headshots mostly) and we’ll have in some pretty fancy people in the industry. We’ll usually run 1-2 rounds of speed networking with the comics so you can get some one on one time face to face with the bigwigs.

National performers will get a shared hotel room with a performer of the same gender. For non-binary/gay people we’ll try and coordinate with you for what works so everyone is comfortable with who they’re sharing a room with.

If I’ve been in prior year’s festivals, can I submit to this one?

For the 2024 festival, yes you can. Likely putting limits back on next year.

We’re two performers who do stand up together, can we apply? Do we need to submit individually?

You can submit, and we’ve had duos on before because they can be super fun! You’ll both be paired together for the fest, and only need to submit once. Once we get through submissions we’ll talk about how lodging will work.
