Andrey Madan
Minneapolis, MN
Since 2004, Andrey Madan has been organizing and leading Russian-speaking comedy events across the Twin Cities - because who doesn’t love a good laugh with a good cause? He co-founded KAMIN, a local group that runs Russian-language open-mics in support of Ukraine and those affected by the war.
By profession, Andrey works in the tech world - because as much as he loves comedy and nonprofits, his kids still expect food on the table (and apparently, snacks aren’t free). Outside of office hours, he’s an Executive Director and a Board Member of the Protez Foundation, a Twin Cities–based nonprofit providing prosthetics and rehabilitation to Ukrainians who’ve lost limbs during the war. He’s especially grateful to the 10,000 Laughs Festival for their ongoing support of Protez Foundation, proving that laughter can literally change lives.
